Jakarta-Kalibernews,-[] Chairman of the United Development Party (PPP) Suharso Monoarfa, Chairman of the Functional Group Party Airlangga Hartarto, and Chairman of the National Mandate Party Zulkifli Hasan held a National Gathering of Koalisi Indonesia Bersatu (KIB) at Hutan Kota Plataran, Jakarta on Saturday (4/6/2022)
The gathering was in the context of signing a mutual agreement between the three parties.
In his speech, Chairman Suharso explained the principles to be built in the United Indonesia Coalition.
According to him, the KIB that is built must be able to respond to the intelligence of the people in democracy. KIB is also present with optimism so that the intelligence of the democratic people becomes a collective intelligence that continues to be honed and effectively builds a prosperous and just democratic civilization.
The basic principles that Chairman explained are as follows. First, KIB wants the relationship between voters and political parties not to be emotional and personal, but a rational and impersonal relationship. In addition, KIB also emphasizes aspects of personality and “personal bonds”.
“Our coalition must be fully aware of that. We can no longer bind sympathy, support, and loyalty only with emotional and personal ties. This coalition must educate all of us in democracy,” said Ketum Suharso.
Second, Ketum said that populism is no longer the only determinant of the election of leaders.
“Today and in the future, prospective leaders are required to have big ideas, concrete and measurable work plans, as a concrete manifestation of democratic collective intelligence,” said the chief.
“Leaders are required to have technocratic abilities, understand problems and find solutions, followed by optimistic steps from planning to execution to evaluation,” he said.
